What a wonderful day we had! Svenni was the perfect guide and showed us some fantastic sights. It is definitely a day none of us will ever forget! We would highly recommend this tour to anyone. The landscapes were stunning, the car very comfortable, the company, conversation, and information enlightening and very enjoyable. Sveinn's driving is great - it is obvious that he has a lot of experience driving in not very car-worthy conditions, and that he enjoys it. It is also obvious that he loves his country and is proud to show it off. The places he chose to visit and the activities he offered were just right for the audience. He even shared yummy smoked lamb sandwiches for lunch (not sure if I am supposed to advertise that)! It was a great day, will have great memories. Crossing rivers so the water reached the middel of the doors was a quite indescribable experience we will remember for long. Svenni was a very good driver, and pleasant company. It really is beyond description. All the practicalities were well taken care of by our knowing guide, Svenni, who incidentallly turned out to be great and relaxed company - which actually does matter quite a lot when your spending a long day together. Oh, and by the way, bring proper clothes. No matter what you expect chances are the wheather will surprise you. Our host and guide Svenni picked the perfect weather to approach the volcano from a vantage point that NO other tour company could get to ! We have a perfect view of the volcano during the early evening that was spectacular. Our pictures were incredible. Prior to getting to the volcano we went to a little know hot spring for a bath- also spectacular. The entire tour was a tremendous day. We, the whole family, will always remember that day forever, as a once in a life time experience. Svenni is super knowledgeable about the hidden treasures of Iceland.
