We started our trip by taking a look at Eyjafjallajokull glacier volcano and it’s outlet glacier Gigjokull, where the floods from the crater came tumbling down and caused a huge flooding during the eruption. We also drove further to see the beautiful nature in the glacial valley that Thorsmork and Godaland are.
The route to Thorsmork lies across many small and big glacial rivers and sometimes the river is the road.
The beauty of this area is simply breathtaking.
The contrasts are huge and you simply have to stop and take more pictures, again and again.
