Gigjokull outlet glacier close to Thorsmork. Above is the volcano in Eyjafjallajokull glacier. The whole area is covered with new ash from the volcano.

This sign greets you when you come to the river Krossa that has flowed over it's banks and partially submerged the sign which says: "Crossing requires caution" - "Where is the ford?" - "Rivers can change"
We had a fantastic trip into Thorsmork, it was incredibly beautiful.
Crossing rivers so the water reached the middel of the doors was a quite indescribable experience we will remember for long.
