Snaefellsnes is sometimes called “miniature Iceland” due to it’s variety in natural beauty and scenery. It has the famous Snaefellsnesjokull glacier which played a big part in Jules Vernes novel “A journey to the center of the Earth” as the entrance to the Earth. To name a few it also has beautiful black sand beaches as Djupalonssandur, spectacular lava fields and rock formations, the breathtaking Londrangar ancient volcanic plugs, a beautiful small cafe on the beach at Hellnar, the church and Hotel in Budir and the most beautiful harbor site you will ever see, at Arnarstapi.
